Provider Spotlight

Cami Donahue is one of the valuable staff we have the privilege of working with here at FOCUS!  She has worked for us for just under 8 months but she already has a grasp of the mission and values here at FOCUS.  She says that she appreciates the friendly environment and being able to make a difference in the lives of special people.  Cami has recently been a huge help to us by filling in at the front desk.  We have appreciated her professional, friendly demeanor each day!  Cami became interested in this field when she volunteered at Special Olympics in high school.  She realized then that she had a natural compassion and patience that made her a perfect fit to support others in need.

In her free time, Cami enjoys singing, sewing, baking, gardening, camping and spending time with friends and family.  While she has lived all over the US, she has been in Alaska for over 20 years and considers this to be home.  Cami shares her home with a few pets:  two (very spoiled) weimaraners, four Nigerian dwarf goats and a flock of chickens!  Cami shared her favorite quote which is from Abraham Lincoln, “People are as happy as they make up their minds to be.”  We very much appreciate having Cami as part of the FOCUS family and are grateful for her inner happiness she shares with her coworkers and the individuals she supports.
